President Elisabeth Ballermann says wildcat strikes by their nature are something that unions don't necessarily call for.
She says they are a symptom of frustration among union members, adding she can't guarantee her own membership won't resort to it down the road.
Negotiations have been underway for 10 months and are currently at the arbitration stage, but Ballermann hopes it doesn’t require that process.
Ballermann says the main sticking point is wages.
